Creel, Digital Lizard to Be Profiled in World’s Largest B2B Printing MagazineLAS VEGAS, NV (December 8, 2015) — Creel Printing has acquired New Jersey-based GlobalSoft Digital Solutions (GSDS), an integrated marketing and digital enterprise with specializations in the retail, medical, and financial markets. The move augments Creel’s full-color commercial print, variable digital print, and book production capabilities, while growing its footprint to the east coast. With this expanded national presence, Creel is positioned to provide two-day standard freight to nearly 85% of the U.S.
Creel will also gain an international presence with Global Soft International, GSDS's Pusignan, France, subsidiary. GSI services North American commercial accounts requiring production and distribution of time-sensitive marketing materials in the European Union.
In sum, the GSDS acquisition enhances Creel’s on-demand, CRM, e-solutions, publishing, and fulfillment capabilities, adding complementary HP digital manufacturing equipment, large/grand-format printing, case-binding capabilities, and proprietary technologies. The 17-year-old “digital pioneer” also brings unique services for the independent greeting card market and a key east coast photo specialty presence. GSDS was recognized as HP’s first Premier Digital Print and Fulfillment Provider in 2005.
GSDS will be merged with Creel’s digital division, Digital Lizard, creating an industry powerhouse with 15 HP digital presses, including two dual-engine HP W7250s — the largest lineup amongst U.S. commercial digital print providers. Digital Lizard president, William Wieners, will lead the combined entity, and GSDS principals will be added to the executive team. The Global Soft Digital Solutions brand name will be retained at the New Jersey location.
“Joining forces with Creel is a natural value extension to our current clients. It allows us to offer a much broader lineup. It was a synergistic decision that will give clients access to more creative, cutting-edge marketing and print solutions,” said Chris Petro, President and CEO of GSDS.
“The new Creel network delivers an international distributive print model unsurpassed in the industry," Petro added. “Together, the Creel companies boast one of the most technology-advantaged digital platforms in the world.”
